Help DJ_Steve get Honeycomb on Dell Streak 7

Streak-7-honeycomb

Since there's no telling when the Dell Streak 7 will be getting an official Honeycomb (Android 3.x) update, our VIP Streak dev DJ_Steve is once again taking matters into his own hands by bringing over the Honeycomb port that some other devs have got running on the Notion Ink Adam tablet.

Unfortunately, things aren't going as well for the Streak 7 as they are for the Adam. The biggest hurdle that needs to be overcome before development can continue is to get the touchscreen working properly. As it stands, both scrolling and long presses aren't being registered in Honeycomb (or Gingerbread, for that matter).

So DJ_Steve is looking for kernel developers who can either port the Streak 7's drivers to the latest kernel (2.6.36) or rewrite the touchscreen driver completely. He's even gone so far as to put out a video, which you can see below, to request help. Can you or anyone you know give him a hand?

If you can help, please leave a comment below or get in touch with @DMonsterProd (that's DJ_Steve) on Twitter.
