Kickstarter spotlight: goDock

The goDock project on Kickstarter is all about making it easier to carry (and use) the Apple Bluetooth keyboard with the iPad (or potentially many other similarly sized tablets). It’s a sleeve with room for both tablet, keyboard and accessories, but also has a trick up it’s…sleeve. You can “dock” the tablet in the sleeve, put the keyboard on top and carry the whole thing around (it’s stiff, it appears) and use it more like a laptop. Quite a brilliant concept considering that it solves the problem of having to carry a large contraption by making the contraption a carrying bag. It hasn’t gotten a lot of attention on Kickstarter though, and as so many other projects they’ve made the mistake of closing the comments to non-backers (which means that potential buyers will have to contact them directly to ask anything, and people do have question on every single project on Kickstarter). I myself would like more information and pictures on the inner workings (what makes it stiff etc) before I pledge $50- but with only $380 out of $20k raised in a week it’s unlikely this will ever be funded. Still, a neat concept, and maybe they’ll make an effort to market the project a bit better in the next few weeks.
