Microsoft Courier look-a-like emerges

It seems that Microsoft has been collaborating with Maryland University to come up with this above prototype. The prototype in question brings back thoughts on the speculated Microsoft Courier which never came to fruition. However, the above video features an e-ink device that has multi-screen capability. Similar to the supposed Microsoft Courier except here, each device is its own. Yet this version has magnets inside which detect when two of the devices are put next to each other… so you can use it like a real book! It also features wireless connectivity with close devices so you can send links and books to each other. Microsoft may still be indeed toying with the idea of a dual screen tablet, who knows. Time will tell.
