Google's tablet-specific variant of Android, Honeycomb, has been rather popular amongst tech journalists. The only downfalls, in terms of software, are the lack of apps and the bit of prematurity it suffers from. But in terms of hardware, there's something even worse: differentiation.
Most of the current Honeycomb devices are running on screens that are above our beloved size of 7 inches, which is unfortunate because the operating system definitely has potential on slightly smaller screens. So how nice it is to say that what you see above is the Viewsonic 7x, a (you guessed it!) 7" tablet running Honeycomb. It touts a Tegra 2 processor, HDMI output, and dual cameras. Also included is DLNA certification, which is another nice addition.
You can expect to see the 7x sometime in June, although something that you can't expect is the price tag; it's yet to be decided upon.
