Samsung downgrades hardware in Wifi-only 7″ Galaxy Tab version

gata7 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7″ is old news by now, even though they just released a Wifi-only version. At $349 it’s a bargain…if you live in 2010. With the EEE Pad Transformer offering upgraded everything for $50 more, you really need to wan 7″ over 10.1″ to get this. To add to the pile of reasons not to get it, Samsung has apparently downgraded the CPU, GPU and possibly the Bluetooth module in the Wifi version. The CPU is older, the GPU is slower, and there might just be Bluetooth 2.1 in there rather than 3.0. You might want to skip this one, unless you really want a sub-$400 tablet right now, as the Transformer is sold out everywhere.
