Turn 2D images into 3D images with 3D Converter
Another app joins the ranks of our increasing anaglyph 3D collection! 3D Converter HD for the iPad is an app that allows you to take existing 2D images and turn them into 3D without the need for two 2D images or anything else. The way it works is that you use a paint brush to paint on a mask on the image, where the mask is set to one of 30 different depths, and when all that is done it turns it into an anaglyph 3D image. The app has some issues, such as a messy UI, lack of high res output, no eraser etc, but generally works well. You’ll end up with images where everything looks like cardboard cutouts rather than fully 3D images though, but it’s still pretty neat.
