500,000 Androids wake up every day

Reclaimed_wood_snposterbed-3

Just last month, Google announced that it was activating 400,000 Android devices per day. And now, Andy Rubin, the SVP of Mobile for Google, tweeted today that the previous number is grown by an additional 100,000 devices per day.

That's astonishing. Android sales were supposedly down for the past few months, but apparently, that's not true. And I think we can assume that it's not; this information came straight from the source.

Unfortunately, Mr. Rubin didn't provide any information on which devices he was talking about, from the Galaxy S to the Galaxy Tab. Hopefully we'll learn about that stuff a little later as we wait for Google's next earnings call.
