Acer Iconia Tab A100 at Walmart soon for $349

Acer-iconia-walmartThe 7-inch 1024 x 600 Honeycomb-sporting Acer Iconia Tab A100 is soon to arrive at Walmart for an afforable $349. In fact, some are reporting that it is already available for purchase at their local store, along with cases, AC adaptors, and docks.

As a refresher, the A100 has a Tegra 250 Dual cortex A9 Processor 1GHz, 512MB of RAM, a 5MP rear camera with flash, a 2MP front-facing camera and 8GB of memory. It also includes a microSD slot (supporting up to 32GB cards), WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 (A101 model includes a Huawei EM770W 3G module), and a Mini HDMI-out port.

Another notable feature is Acer's clear.fi software, which automatically detects new devices that have been connected, from PCs to smartphones (running Windows, Linux, or Android). It enables easy searching of music, photos, and videos within the home network, and sharing between devices. With clear.fi and the A100's HDMI port, users can stream multimedia stored on A100 on any of the devices connected to their home network.

The A100's 7-inch form factor and Honeycomb OS, as well as its reasonable $349 price, should make this device very attractive to many Pocketables readers. I'm thinking about picking one up myself.
