Best Buy outs official HTC EVO 3D dock for $49.99

Evo-3d-dock

We were all less than impressed by iGrip's attempt at a HTC EVO 3D dock last month, so now let's check out the phone manufacturer's take on it.

Meet the official EVO 3D desktop docking station created by none other than HTC. Best Buy has priced it at $49.99—the same price as the HTC Flyer/EVO View dock—and says that it's MHL adapter-compatible (more about MHL here) via "the rear 5-pin micro USB port" that I don't see anywhere in the render above. It must be on the other side, then.

Also on that side, on the flat back surface, is a circular power button that I wouldn't be surprised to see surrounded by a nice red glow when the dock is plugged in. Or maybe HTC has chosen the more conventional green/orange combination. Either way, there's probably an LED there.

The dock is listed as "coming soon," but with next Friday's release of the phone that's meant to be sitting in it drawing near, it shouldn't be long before it's in stock and ready for your desk or entertainment center.

Update 7/21: The dock is now available at Best Buy. Mini review here.
