BlackBerry PlayBook officially can connect to Sprint 3G

Blackberry-playbook-sprint

Back when I reviewed the original BlackBerry PlayBook, one complaint I had was voluntarily left out due to the device being WiFi-only. But I have to admit, not being able to connect to a 3G network was a very large downer.

But now, that's totally changed. Today, RIM unveiled a 3G-capable version of the tablet, and it's through Sprint. Again. But this time, both Sprint and RIM have a much better offering to go with it.

An always-connected PlayBook would be the ultimate tablet because you'd be able to check your web-based Gmail anywhere you are. And once native email clients are readily available for the PlayBook, things will just get better and better. Although this is a tantalizing offer, I will wait until the 4G model is unleashed. I would rather have both 3G and 4G connectivity so I would always have the fastest connection possible.

You can pick up one of these bad boys online or in a Sprint store starting today.
