Dell offering $50 gift card with purchase of $99.99 AT&T Streak

Streak-5-deal-50 The number of online retailers that you can buy a new AT&T Dell Streak from are dwindling, with Amazon (who previously sold it for a penny) and Best Buy both no longer listing the device for sale.

The 5-inch pocket tablet is still in plentiful supply at Dell.com, who continues "marketing" the device on its website by wrapping it in deals. Last week we saw two unlocked Streaks being offered in a "buy one, get a second for half off" promo, and now the AT&T-locked Streak can be had for $49.99 when you factor in the $50 promo gift card.

It may be too little, too late—as the Streak is a little long in the tooth compared to all the dual-core 4G Gingerbread superphones out there—but it's still a great price for those who have yet to experience the joys of Android on a 5-inch screen.

[Dell] Thanks, Carlos P!

Unlocked price is $399 today for those interested in a no-contract deal.

  • My local Best Buy (NW Indiana) still has the 5 inch Streak, $49 with a contract renewal.

  • I am not sure why Dell won’t roll out 2.2.2 or beyond to keep the device fresh and attractive. Dell created a great device, but they treat it like a bastard child..

  • The Streak 5 is doing amazingly well since it was abandoned at birth by both parents: Dell and AT&T. Fortunately for all of us Streak users, DJ_Steve adopted our amazing, little device! I just hope he continues to produce his amazing ROM’s for the Streak 5. Once again, thank you Steve!

  • Dell did put out 2.2.2 for unlocked Streaks and it is simple to flash one of ‘unlocked’ roms to an AT&T Streak.
