Gain remote control of your rooted HTC EVO 4G via adbWireless
By now, you're probably becoming a master of using ADB with your HTC EVO and for one reason or another you've thought, "Hey, I need ADB access without a cable connected to my computer."
If so, then adbWireless is for you. As its name suggests, it adds wireless functionality to the Android Debug Bridge application so that you can connect to your EVO wirelessesly instead of with a USB cable.
Simply launch the app or widget, press the button, and that's that; you're now connectable via IP. The app will give you the command to type to connect ADB from your computer (e.g., "adb connect 192.168.1.123:5555").
After typing that in, all ADB commands will be routed via TCP/IP to your EVO until you either type "adb disconnect" or perhaps reboot your computer.
Something to keep in mind though is that the wireless will only function after the phone has fully booted and you're capable of pressing the "big button," so you can't shell into a downed phone to move a ROM to it.
adbWireless also only works via WiFi, so if you have great dreams of grabbing a co-worker's phone, setting this up, and then randomly changing out their boot animation with someone screaming that they're trapped in a pocket . . . sorry.
