How to clear persistent voicemail notification on HTC EVO 4G after Gingerbread update

Evo-gingerbread-voicemail

In addition to breaking much-loved apps like Netflix, an undesired effect of letting the Gingerbread OTA update overtake the HTC EVO 4G that countless users are reporting is a persistent false voicemail notification. Whether voicemail has already been checked or was never even received, that little icon has taken permanent residence on many taskbars across the nation.

If you're one of the unlucky ones to be playing host to an uninvited guest, then stop being hospitable and kick that icon to the curb.

Just press the Menu button on your phone and tap Settings > Call > Clear voicemail notification. Done.

Thanks, Rob!
