HTC Eternity is really big, really fast

Windows Phone devices haven't exactly strayed from the norm in terms of design and form factors. There have been typical candy-bars, portrait slide-out QWERTYs, and landscape slide-out QWERTYs, with relatively small screens. They also had the same internals, which meant you couldn't brag about your WP7 phone being faster than someone else's.

Thanks to HTC though, that's about to change. What you see above is the HTC Eternity. It's large and in charge, sporting a whopping 4.7-inch display and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, paired with a surprisingly measly 512MB of RAM. Running the Mango update, the Eternity aims to please those that aren't so pleased with WP7 yet.

Since it is running the Mango update, you can expect to be able to purchase the HTC Eternity sometime this fall.
