HTC EVO View 4G available June 24th for $399.99, free HTC Scribe digital pen included for a limited time
With so much attention being paid to the HTC EVO 3D, the EVO View 4G hasn't been at the heart of more than a handful of rumors and leaks.
So while we've talked about the likelihood of a same-day June 24th release for the tablet and phone, we haven't really had much chance to dig up any dirt on expected price or whether the $80 HTC Scribe digital pen (often referred to as the Magic Pen) that's not included with Best Buy's HTC Flyer would be bunded with the Gingerbread slate.
And now thanks to Sprint, we don't have to. The carrier has officially announced that the EVO View 4G, which will hit stores on the 24th, will cost $399.99 with a two-year data plan starting at $34.99/month (includes unlimited 4G, unlimited MMS, and 3GB of 3G). GPS will be available as an optional add-on ($2.99/day or $10/month), as will the $29.99/month mobile hotspot service.
The digital pen will be given away free for a limited time. Although I've been having to force myself to use on the Flyer, bundling the HTC Scribe with the tablet is a nice gesture on Sprint's part and absolutely the right thing to do. The pen is included as a standard accessory on the European version of the Flyer, after all.
There's no word on how much an off-contract EVO View 4G will cost, but I'm guessing that something in the $600 range sounds about right.
