Kno app for the iPad

photo - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

The hugely promising, but ultimate failure (hardware wise) of Kno has know been re-tooled as an iPad app. What was originally an excellent software system for education is living on in an excellent iPad app, and should be a welcomed addition to any iPad owner taking classes. Kno takes an excellent approach in the organization of your books and pdf’s. You can add classes and section to your liking like a library shelf, as well as have a quick look at everything you have. From within the app, you can shop for books using title, author, keyword and the ISBN. The selection seems pretty solid, but this of course depends entirely on your professor and the book publisher. Pricing is right on par with the textbook world though, which is a complete ripoff for republished books year after year. But, if you like everything online and in one neat little place, it’s worth looking into.
