Save $20 on HTC Scribe digital pen for EVO View 4G

Htc-scribeSprint is still giving customers who buy the HTC EVO View 4G ($399.99) with a two-year service agreement the HTC Scribe digital pen for free. The pen is normally priced at $79.99 in the US (it's an included Flyer accessory in Europe), so it's a nice freebie for folks who want to take advantage of the tablet's 3G/4G connectivity.

But for someone like me, who purchased the View off-contract for $649.99, shelling out an additional $80 for a pen that I rarely used with the Flyer is far from tempting.

And while I'd obviously much rather get it for free like all the on-contract View users out there, I'm okay with getting it for $60, which is how much it sells for at Expansys USA. It's still overpriced, but it's impossible for the shopaholic in me to ignore a 25% savings off a retail price. Whether I'll actually use the pen this time around remains to be seen, but at least I'll have it on hand if something ever comes up, especially since HTC is making the pen API available to devs through the OpenSense SDK.
