Sony Ericsson gives list of 20 games coming to Xperia Play

Xperia-play-xl

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is such a hot device right now. Amongst Android fanatics, it boasts some great specs and an awesome design, as well as Android 2.3. For PlayStation fanatics, well. . . I think you can all guess why this is their next phone.

And it only gets better for those two groups of people. Sony Ericsson today announced a list of 20 games that will be available for the Play soon. Some of them are through the dedicated section on the Android Market, and others are through the PlayStation Pocket application. I will provide a source link so you can check out that list; it's pretty lengthy, and I won't post some of the lesser-known titles, but here are a few that will definitely make the Play even more interesting:

  • Battlefield Bad Company 2 by Electronic Arts
  • Minecraft by Mojang
  • Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Shadow Vanguard by Gameloft

These three alone are really going to help the Play rise to the top in terms of sales numbers. I'm sure this will be one of the most successful Android devices to hit the market due solely to the gaming functionality. I can't wait to see how developers are going to embrace it, either.
