Android 3.2 will have improved low resolution app support
Android Developers reports that Android 3.2 will have a new feature onboard to help combat the issue of apps designed for earlier Android versions not scaling properly to the bigger screen. Apps that don’t scale properly using the existing methods can be zoomed in instead, which is essentially the same thing as what the iPad does; the app is scaled like on a phone, and then simply blown up. While this causes pixelation, it will help with apps that don’t have interfaces that scale properly. It’s a small feature, sure, but it will definitely help. If only Apple would do something about their backwards iPhone app support as well then I’d be a happy man.
