Dell Business says Dell Streak 5 is no longer available

Oh-my The Dell Streak 5 may very well be a dying breed of super-sized smartphone. If you attempt to order a Streak from Dell Business, where it was in stock just the other week, you will soon be informed that it's no longer available to order online.

Dell Business has kept the landing page for the Streak up and functional, but any attempt to purchase the five-inch pocket tablet will cause the website to tell you that you can't have one: clicking the "Select" button near the top of a page causes red text to inform you that it's no longer available online, and clicking the "Customize" button further down the listing redirects you to a whole new error page explaining that they aren't available.

This raises a very startling question: could this be the end of the Dell Streak 5? As a proud Streak owner and blogger for StreakSmart, I certainly hope not. I've had mine for a little under a year, and I only have good things to say about it. Then again, Dell and AT&T have never really found widespread success with the pocket tablet, so the removal, while unfortunate, makes a little sense from a business perspective.

We here at StreakSmart will be sure to let you know as soon as we know more information about the possible extinction of the Dell Streak.

[Dell Business] Thanks, Ralph!
