Samsung rumored to be making folding phone
If you are a fan of clamshell devices (as many of us here at Pocketables are,) you are in luck. According to a report from SamFirmware, Samsung is preparing to release a clamshell device called the Galaxy Q which utilizes a folding OLED display that the company showed at CES a few years ago.
Sadly, we hardly have any specific information about the device. All we really know is that it would use a folding 5.3 in. OLED display with a 960 x 800 resolution. Because the actual display can be folded, it would eliminate the need for the bezels found in the Sony S2.
I think this could be a great device if it comes to fruition. People love using devices with large screens, but don't like having to carry around a giant device. With the Galaxy Q, it would be possible to enjoy the advantages of a 5 in. display like the Dell Streak's, while only having to carry around a device the size of the iPhone.
If you want to see a video of Samsung's bezel-less folding display in action, you can find one after the break.
