Sony S2 may be available for preorder in September

Sony_s1_and_s2

Ever since we first got news of Sony's new S2 Honeycomb tablet, we have been all over it. Between the custom Honeycomb, dual screens, clamshell design, and premium Sony manufacturing, the tablet is a unique device perfect for us here at Pocketables.

This has made the fact that we have little more than a hands on of the device incredibly frustrating. Fortunately, it looks like we now have information on when preorders will begin. According to information from This is my Next, UK retailer Sony Centre will begin selling the S1 and S2 on September 1st.

Regrettably, we still do not have word on a US release of the device. Its sibling the S1 was recently cleared by the FCC, so it is likely the devices will be available here in the US soon after their UK debut. However, if you feel the need to get your hands on this device as soon as possible (as I am sure many of you do) come September you may be able to get your preorder in.
