Updated Android Market coming soon to a bot near you

Market_home_final1 Remember when Google updated its online Android Market to be better looking and more usable about two months ago? Unfortunately, when that happened, the mobile version stayed exactly the way it was beforehand. But now, Google is deciding that it's just about time to freshen things up a bit.

To the right, you'll see the new, enhanced, stunning Market homescreen. You'll also notice two new, very important categories that have been added: books and movies. That is, of course, if you live in the US. But that's still a pretty big addition, because it puts Android's market offering back at the top in terms of what is actually being offered.

The rollout has already begun, but it hasn't been long enough for a lot of people to see what's going on with the new categories. One can only assume that books and movies will be provided by some big names in their respective categories to make the media even more appealing to Android users.

You will see the new Market on your Android 2.2+ handset within the coming weeks.
