User switching now available for jailbroken iPads

Tablets are often a lot more personal than computers and have been designed to cater to one person rather than a family. This is something a lot of people are unhappy with as buying an iPad for each family member gets expensive really quick. Now the solution to this problem is available courtesy of iUsers, a software modification for jailbroken iPads that let you add several users and log in and out of them to switch user data and settings from one person to another. Apps and media are currently shared between users though, meaning that if you log into another account the apps will still be there but e.g. high scores in games will have switched. While the developer hopes to have everything be personalized in the future, sharing apps is definitely going to be cheaper either way. This is especially great for families with several children as they will likely spend most of the time playing games and so the user data switch is all they need. The software will be available on Cydia (the app store for jailbroken iPads) soon.
