Acer Iconia Smart coming in September
A little less than a month ago, Acer informed the world that the Iconia Smart tablet/smartphone hybrid would be released at the end of July in Europe. However, one thing Acer forgot to mention was the release date for the United States. It was thought to come out sometime in April, but as you can see, that did not happen.
Now, Acer has spilled the beans on when it actually will be released stateside. According to Acer's Deutschland Facebook page, the Iconia Smart will hit our shores sometime in September. While that's a month late, it's better than never having such a unique device, isn't it?
In case you've forgotten, this smartphone/tablet offers a 1024 x 480 screen, making it one of the tallest smartphones we've seen in quite some time. The other specs are somewhat humdrum, however, with a 1GHz single-core processor and 512MB of RAM. It's also got 8GB of internal storage, expandable by way of a microSD slot, to store the photos you take with the 8MP camera on the back or the 2MP camera on the front.
