Beats Headphones will be 20% off this weekend at Best Buy with HTC EVO purchase

HTCBeats For those who have not kept up with the news, HTC now owns the majority stake in Beats Audio. To celebrate, Best Buy has announced a 20% off sale on any Beats by Dre headphones with the purchase of an HTC smartphone, including the HTC EVO 4G and HTC EVO 3D.

While normally a bit overpriced at $349.99, a $70 discount might be the push some on-the-fence purchasers need to make a decision about getting a pair.

For those new to Beats headphones, they are a higher-end headphone compared to the iPod stock earbuds and cheapy $15 ones people are typically using nowadays. In addition to better sound quality, they also feature removable cords, something usually only reserved for extremely high-end headphones such as ones by AKG or Technics.

As an audiophile, I personally find them falling a little flat for ther retail price, but they could provide what you are looking for in a new set of headphones so I recommend you try them for yourself. Experiencing your music the way you want to is a very subjective thing, after all, and you should always take reviews on audio equipment with a grain of salt.
