Could Honeycomb be coming soon to HTC EVO View 4G?

Today, the HTC Jetstream was officially announced. This 10.1" Honeycomb-touting tablet looks pretty good. But what about those of us using the slightly smaller Gingerbread-touting HTC EVO View 4G? Is there some good news to come from the release of the Jetstream?

Hopefully! The Jetstream's Honeycomb-based ROM has just been unveiled, and as we reported early last month, Honeycomb may just be the future for the HTC EVO View 4G

As all rooted EVO users know, it really isn't up to Sprint and HTC to bring Honeycomb to the EVO View 4G. According to XDA, HTC Flyer (the WiFi-only cousin of the EVO View 4G) developers have already started trying to get the Jetstream's ROM up and running on G&E's favorite tablet.

Unfortunately the developers started with a non-flashable base. And once flashable, was not bootable. It may be awhile before we see Honeycomb running on the EVO View 4G, but work has now started to get the latest version of Android ported.

EVO View 4G users, are you getting excited?
