Dell drops another $50 from Streak 7 WiFi tablet, now officially priced at $299.99

Streak-7-299-dell The WiFi-only Dell Streak 7 has already been on the receiving end of numerous discounts from Newegg, Staples, Amazon, and even Dell.com over the past few months, and it seems the prices just keep going down.

Dell.com has sliced another $50 off the MSRP it just lowered in June, bringing the new price down to $299.99. Several retailers have been selling the dual-core tablet for this amount (and even a little less) for months, so Dell is really only playing catch-up with this latest cut. But in the context of the Streak 5 getting EOL status in the Americas and T-Mobile discontinuing the Streak 7 (the carrier now only sells refurbished models for $129.99), it's difficult not to raise an eyebrow at the WiFi device's new official price.

On the upside, it has been said that only the WiFi version of the Streak 7 will get an OTA update to Honeycomb next month.
