EVO 3D overclocked to 2GHz

Evo3d-overclock-2GHz One of the great things about having root access on the HTC EVO 3D is the ability to install custom kernels – that's what helps your EVO run as smoothly as possible, and it can enable some pretty advanced features too, including the ability to trickle charge your battery or make your processor run faster.

The EVO 3D has already been overclocked, first at 1.7GHz and later 1.8. Now it seems that a dev named klquicksall has created a custom kernel that can allow the EVO 3D to run at a full 2GHz.

This kernel also includes other enhancements such as better WiFi reception, but who cares about that when you can overclock your phone all the way up to 2GHz?

While I myself am a little hesitant to try this out for fear of my EVO 3D exploding in my hands, by all means give it a whirl if you are feeling adventurous. And be sure to let us know if you and your phone survive to tell the tale!
