The source of the photographs revealed a few previously unknown changes to the OS. First off, the theme has been tweaked from Gingerbread's black and green to a Honeycomb-esq blue and black. To match this new theme, Google included a reworked launcher, app drawer, a new camera application with panorama support, and themed Gmail application. The launcher itself brings a couple new features, like an integrated Google search bar on the top of the screen and what looks to be a task switcher icon in the bottom right corner.
So, how can we get our hands on the ice cream? The source of the photographs says that Ice Cream Sandwich will launch with the Nexus Prime, presumably in October. The only other device that will get an unadultered version will be the Nexus S, which should get an update after the release of the Prime. Devices younger than a year old should all be able to get the OS eventually, but carriers still have the potential to ruin the release as they have in the past.
