Since Apple's 2011 edition of WWDC focused purely on software, the entire geek world has been anxiously waiting for the next iteration of the iPhone. Rumors have been floating around about a September/October release timeframe, and it seems like we've nailed it down pretty well now.

According to a trusted source, during an AT&T meeting, a VP of the company spilled the beans indirectly to some employees.

Expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly.

There you have it, folks. That gives us about a month and a half (or early October, if you can do some math) until the fabled iPhone 4S/5 will be available for purchase.
