Kickstarter spotlight: CableKeeps
The PadPivot was a huge success on Kickstarter, and now the people behind it are back with a new project: CableKeeps. CableKeeps are fish shaped plastick add-ons for iPad and iPhone AC achargers that are designed to hold the cable in place when not in use. Simply wrap the cable around it and secure the end in the special notch made for exactly that. Simple to the point of DIY, but definitely something that a lot of people could use- me included. I’ve probably spent as much as the $18 asking price just in rubber bands to keep cables in place while travelling so I very much understand the need for such a product, perhaps even more than most since my cable is longer than others. Being the makers of such a success as PadPivot means that the project has tons of supporters already, and with 28 days left they’re already at $9000 out of $35000. Perhaps not the most gadget-y product ever, but it will definitely help many.
