MMAjunkie Mobile slams the best MMA news onto your HTC EVO

Snap2 MMAjunkie.com, winners of the 2008 and 2009 World Mixed Martial Arts Awards "Best Media Outlet," can now stream all of the latest mixed martial arts news to your HTC EVO with MMAjunkie Mobile, a well-designed app as slick as a rubber guard omoplata.

I have wanted to cover this app for a while now because I'm a huge fan of John Morgan and the whole crew over at MMAjunkie.com, but thought I should shop around for other MMA news apps before promoting this one out of fandom. Well after trying countless other apps, I was not able to find any that brought the latest in MMA news, interviews, rumors, and event info as well as this one.

Of course, it helps that MMAjunkie is a premier leader in MMA news with great coverage of multiple promotions, such as UFC, Strikeforce, Bellator, DREAM, Sengoku, K-1, Tachi Palace, and others. But what really makes this app stand out from the others is its simplicity, well designed interface, and even widgets, which so many other apps lack.

Snapshot (2) Broken down into a few tabs to help organize items, the app makes everything is quickly selectable. You can see the items as they come in on the News tab or break it down by promotion if you are looking for only Bellator news, for example.

The Rumors tab keeps track of upcoming fights with the confirmed fight cards and also the unconfirmed fights that are in the works. The Events tab is for all the past fights that have taken place where you can quickly check in and see the results to any match with method, round, and time listed. The More tab is great, as you can mark articles that you wish to come back to and they will show up in this area as your saved items. No more are you left trying to Google that tidbit on who was awarded the $70,000 bonus for Knockout of the Night at UFC 133.

Last but not least is the great widget that you can customize to place any stream from the app onto your home screen. It is available in two sizes and you can select from a number of options to change which items you want to see on the fly.

MMAjunkie Mobile is free on the Android Market, so those looking to stay up to date on the latest happenings in the MMA world, this is the app for you.
