More evidence suggests that the HTC EVO Design 4G is on its way

A few weeks ago, we told you about a new leak that seemed to confirm that Sprint's version of the HTC Kingdom would we released as the HTC EVO Design 4G. We now have further evidence that a device of this name is headed towards Sprint, as the above screenshot from Gameloft clearly demonstrates.

It's not uncommon for companies to accidentally leak privy information like this, and Gameloft seems to have corrected its error, as the EVO Design 4G is no longer appearing on the site.

To be honest, I'm not too excited about this, as it seems to be only a mid-range device that will likely take the place of the EVO Shift 4G – a phone we don't even regularly cover here on G&E. In any case, it seems like it will offer some substantial improvements over the Shift, including qHD resolution on a 4-inch screen and dual cameras. Of course, it will also offer WiFi n support, 720p video recording, and a WiMAX radio.

We will continue to keep our eyes on this device, as we are always interested in new members of the HTC EVO family. Let's just hope it turns out to live up to the EVO name!
