Premium Qik features now available on HTC EVO … for a price

As of yesterday, Qik has made several premium features available to HTC EVO users, as well as owners of other Android devices. According to Qik's Android Market description, premium users now have the ability to upload and store an unlimited number of videos, send and receive video mail when a particular contact isn't available to chat (wasn't that feature already available for free?), and the ability to better manage one's Qik account from a computer.

With Qik Desktop software, premium users can now add videos to their galleries from their computers, sync videos from phone to desktop, drag and drop videos in Qik collections, and easily share videos with Qik contacts using drag and drop functionality.

Of particular interest for HTC EVO 3D users is also the new ability to record and share videos in both HD and 3D.

While all of this seems great, these enhancements do come at a cost of $4.99/month after a free 30-day trial. So do you plan on subscribing to Qik's premium service, or are you one of the many EVO users who have completely removed it from your device? Are these features really worth $4.99/month? Sound off in the comments.
