Sprint to raise ETF for all future HTC EVO purchases and upgrades

Sprint-etf-sign

In addition to the price of the HTC EVO 3D dropping like crazy in the past few weeks, there's another reason to act now if you've been on the fence about upgrading your current device to a new HTC EVO: As of September 9, all new smartphone and tablet activations will come with an increased early termination fee of $350, instead of the current ETF of $200.

This latest information was first leaked by Duffman on the Sprint Users forums, a user who has a well-established record of accurate leaks regarding all things Sprint.

Of course, existing contracts will remain unaffected, and as a happy EVO 3D owner myself, I don't imagine that I will want to let go of this phone anytime soon. Some of you, however, might not be experiencing the best Sprint service where you live or work, and others just don't like to be bogged down too much by contracts of any sort. If you fall into either of the latter two camps, now is the time to act: before the ETF becomes $150 higher.
