Let's first get something out of the way: completely contrary to what we thought in late July, the AndyPad is actually not manufactured by AndyPad. The AndyPad is manufactured by Verticool.
Now that I have a company to blame, I can tell you what's wrong with Verticool. The AndyPad is a cheap Android tablet, like you already knew, but we now know one of the reasons for it being so cheap: it's not licensed to run the Android Market, nor the Google suite of apps (Gmail, YouTube, Maps, etc.)
That's not to say that it doesn't have access to them; all of those apps are fully functional. The only problem is that Google didn't approve that, so it seems a little suspicious that Verticool would want the AndyPad to be an "illegal" device, of sorts.
We see plenty of tablets that don't have access to the Market or those apps. But would you rather see something legal but without them, or something illegal but with them?
