BlackBerry PlayBook price already cut, but only in Canada

Cheap_playbook

Try to think back to the Thursday of last week. On that day, we heard that RIM was going to start slashing PlayBook pricing and updating its software to make it more appealing to consumers. And it seems like today is our (Canadian friends') lucky day.

Yes, you read that last sentence right. Unfortunately, the PlayBook's price has only (currently) been cut in RIM's homeland. Currently selling for $399, the PlayBook will also come with either an extra $100 off or a $100 Best Buy gift card so you can buy your new tablet a case.

There's no way of knowing when or if pricing cuts are coming to the US, but this is a very good price for a good tablet. Read my review to see if you should plunk down even only that much money for RIM's tablet offering.

For those of you who have already read it: if this pricing comes to your country, are you going to pick one up?
