Google first registered Google.com back on September 15, 1997, and they officially became incorporated on September 7, 1998. Back in 2005, Google decided that September 27 would be their official birthday.
Fast forward to today, and we now have a brilliant mobile operating system that beats the competition hands down. We get our email through Gmail, and we filter our calls and texts through Google Voice. We create documents and collaborate on Google Docs, and we keep track of news using Google News and Google Reader. We even have an increasingly viable alternative to Facebook, Google+, that just opened to the public.
Thanks to Google on the EVO, we can get back home when we're lost, find out where the best prices on dog food are, and even set our alarm for the next morning just by speaking. We can take pictures with our EVOs and have Google tell us what we're looking at, or even translate that Parisian menu into English.
Without Google, much of what makes the HTC EVO great would not be possible. So happy birthday, Google, and keep on innovating!
