Netflix now supports video playback on Dell Streak 5 and 7

netflix-logo If you live in the US and are a Netflix subscriber, then I have some good news for you. Netflix recently updated its Android app to version 1.4, and it adds video playback support to "all Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices."

Naturally, that includes the Dell Streak 5 and Streak 7, as both officially run Froyo. Now, of course, Netflix has been running on the Streak for quite some time, but it was never listed as one of the officially supported devices. Support for the Streak 7, meanwhile, may be revoked soon, as it is due to receive Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) in the near future.

Unfortunately, the update, as far as we are aware, isn't available to Canadian subscribers of Netflix, but US folk who don't have it yet can grab it at the links below.
