Nexus Prime and Ice Cream Sandwich likely to land October 11

Samsung-mobile-unpacked
Information and rumors about the Nexus Prime have been flowing quite freely lately, so it is no surprise that when Samsung sent out noticeably vague invitations to their Mobile Unpacked event, people started speculating. Thanks mostly to the claim that this will be a "Google Episode," the general consensus is that Samsung will be unveiling a device with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, which if true would mean the Nexus Prime.

Naturally, no one is completely certain about this, we don't even know if Samsung is going to be manufacturing the Nexus Prime at all.  Still, despite Google's purchase of Motorola, most information points to Samsung as the manufacturer, especially considering that the Galaxy S II LTE HD has specifications nearly identical to those rumored for the Nexus Prime. In case you have forgotten, those specs include an impressive dual-core processor, 720p HD display, 1GB of RAM, and 4G LTE.

Even if the announcement does not include the Nexus Prime, it will clearly still have some important Android news. So, join us on the 11th to find out just what Samsung considers to be "new from Android."
