BlackBerry Packager for Android shown off on video

RIM is hosting its DevCon event today, which essentially is a platform for developers, and in turn decided to drop this little nugget ahead of schedule. The BlackBerry Packager, which is shown off in this video from RIM, is what will be used to get those Android applications into the PlayBook ecosystem. Developers will obtain a key from BlackBerry’s Developer Zone, which will enable them to port their Android apps to the PlayBook. Before that happens though, they will need to convert their APK files to BAR, which will then be checked for compatability through the Packager, and then once submitted the developers will just await approval. There ya have it, Android through the PlayBook.
