Get Beats Audio technology on your rooted HTC EVO 3D
Depending on who you ask, Beats Audio by Dr. Dre is either a highly desirable audio processor worthy of high-end expensive equipment, or a cheap DSP that does bass boosting and minor tweaks to sell overpriced consumer grade audio to unsuspecting non-audiophiles.
There are several Android phones that are now shipping with Beats Audio included as a selling point, but it actually requires no additional hardware other than the Beats by Dre headphones (or better) for your HTC EVO 3D to handle it.
You can either go with a ROM that has it already baked in (there are several now), or if you're running a Sense-based 3.0+ ROM without it, you can flash a mod created and maintained by XDA member smokin1337 and have Beats by Dre installed for your ear gear.
The dev has only tested this to work on the EVO 3D, but if you're an adventurous 4G rooter you might want to try it also, as it theoretically should work with any 3.0+ Sense ROM.
This updates a lot of stuff under the hood, so make sure to do a Nandroid backup first in case this Beats mod beats your EVO. After that, go ahead and grab the file you need from the link below.
