Ice Cream Sandwich SDK and system dump are up, themers rejoice

Ics_dumpWhether you have an HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO 4G, HTC EVO View 4G, or are planning on buying the newly announced HTC EVO Design 4G, good things are coming to an EVO near you.

Yesterday, the next version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, was officially announced. G&E went right to it this morning and listed all the sweet, new features of ICS.

Last night, another great thing happened: the ICS SDK was released. Now, it should be noted that SDK does not mean open source, so CyanogenMod 9 is not coming out next week (sorry).

But, a system dump (that you can d0wnload right here) has been snagged. This means that all the status bars, wallpapers, ringtones, pop-up boxes, and just about any other theme element can be accessed. So what's next? Go find a themer and tell them to theme! We should be seeing a lot of ICS themes popping up soon.

For everybody else, be sure to check this bad boy out. It's the Roboto font from ICS, which you can install on any rooted Android device. First, be sure to grab the Font Changer app and unzip and copy the three .ttf files into the .fontchanger folder on your SD card. Then, open the app, select the font, and reboot your phone. Enjoy!
