Poll results: The HTC EVO 4G definitely has some staying power

Evo4gSeveral days ago, we asked you which HTC EVO you own right now. It's definitely a legitimate question; after all, when Good and EVO was born a year and a half ago, there was only one EVO around – the original HTC EVO 4G. Now there are two more that we cover here at G&E, the EVO 3D and the EVO View 4G tablet.

Interestingly enough, even though just under half of our readers originally said they were planning on upgrading to the EVO 3D, only about 38% of our readers now said that they own one. To me, this definitely speaks to the staying power of the original EVO 4G, and reflects the fact that it's still a very capable phone despite the competition. Additionally, this shows the power that a very active developer community can wield over the popularity of a certain device.

As far as the EVO View, only a little over 7% of you said that you owned either our beloved Gingerbread tablet or its WiFi-only cousin, the HTC Flyer. Many factors could be behind this, including what many perceive to be a high premium on its price, and the fact that it still hasn't gotten its fabled Honeycomb update, even though Google just revealed Ice Cream Sandwich.

In any case, the poll will remain open indefinitely, so you can still cast a vote if you want. (That means you, all you View owners who haven't participated yet! Hurry up and represent!)
