Siri to assist Apple iPhone 4S and you in doing things
Unless you live underneath a rock that's situated inside a crater on the Moon, you will know that today, Apple unveiled the latest iteration to its insanely popular iPhone line, the iPhone 4S, at its "Let's talk iPhone" event.
The invitations for this event were sent out last week, and I took a look at Apple's possible lack of a comma situated in between "talk" and "iPhone." I also said that Siri, previously called Assistant, would be a major point for the new hardware/software combo being released.
One thing that I didn't predict, however, was the need for a 4S to utilize Siri, or Assistant, or whatever you want to call it. That's the downfall for Apple here; I am not paying $200+ on a new iPhone just to ask it where all the traffic is.
Fortunately, though, iOS 5's other features will be headed to both the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. Respectively, each will now cost nothing and $99 on-contract. The latter will be available on AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon, just like its new sibling.
