Touchscreen-enabled recovery currently being developed for HTC EVO devices
The custom recovery on your HTC EVO is about to get much more interesting. How do images and custom fonts sound? What about themes? Or even touch screen capabilities? It's all on the way in the latest iteration of the TeamWin Recovery Project, version 2.0.
Be sure to hit the link below for a fascinating interview with agrabren, one of the developers on TeamWin, as well as another video showcasing much of what you can expect.
So what inspired this radical change from what we're used to in a custom recovery? According to agrabren, "We really want it to be easy to use and convenient for people. It's no fun to have to sit there toggling weird buttons. It seems every device has its own unique way of manipulating it. And what we said was, instead, why doesn't it follow … touch panels."
I've always been a ClockwordMod guy myself, mainly due to its tight integration with ROM Manager. But this latest work from TeamWin might just make me a convert.
