The Motorola Droid 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus are probably some of the most anticipated devices of the holiday season, and many consumers have been waiting for a release date ever since the Droid leaked and the Nexus was announced.
This enthusiasm is certainly well deserved, as the Galaxy Nexus represents the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich device and the Droid 4 is going to be the first and probably best 4G LTE slider. Finally, it appears that we have some official-looking documents that pin the release date for both of the devices on December 8.
As you can see, the document above does look like a pretty official internal release schedule, and clearly puts both device's release on the 8th. However, the date itself does seem a little odd to me just because the Droid Razr was released so recently that it seems strange that another huge Motorola phone would be released so soon. Still, the Galaxy Nexus has been reported to have a December release date, so at least that much fits with previous rumors.
If you really need to get the HD Ice Cream Sandwich powerhouse that is the Galaxy Nexus right now, you can pick it up for a crazy unsubsidized price from Expansys; but if you are instead one of the more reasonable consumers who is waiting for a US carrier to get either smartphone it looks like December 8 will be your day.[Droid-Life]
