Google hosting Android "Special Event" November 16

Google-event-promo-nov-2011

Just a few weeks ago, Google released the next official Google phone, dubbed the Nexus Prime, along with a major Android OS update to version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. One would think that after dropping so much information on the tech world Google might take a slight break, but they appear to be moving right along. Today, they sent out a teaser for their yet another Android event, which you can see above.

Occurring November 16 in Los Angeles, the event appears to be music themed as the slogan is "These go to eleven," and the email was also sent by a "Nigel Tufnel." Both of these are references to a comedy-documentary called Spinal Tap from 1984, about a band and their very amusing mishaps. This leads me to believe that perhaps we will see improvements to Google Music (perhaps even a music store), but a more far-fetched ideas is that they are finally making Android MIDs like the Samsung Galaxy Player official.

However, as you can see from the image above, there appears to be a little bit more to the event. Clearly, T-Mobile will be involved somehow, and the focus on street art, the "art show," and "life is beautiful" also seem to hint at a media focus for the event. The T-Mobile involvement gives me hope that we may see a GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus, but really whatever they announce will be a complete surprise.

Whatever you think the teaser is hinting at, you can join us right back here to find out what Google actually announces next Wednesday.
