Android Market 3.4.4 promises huge speed improvements on your HTC EVO

Android-marketGoogle is pushing out the latest version of Android Market, 3.4.4, right now, but if you're running a completely stock ROM on your HTC EVO, you probably are still several versions behind. No worries, though, as this update can again be downloaded and installed over whatever version you currently have, no root required.

The only major improvement that I've noticed over the last version, 3.3.12, is that everything seems to be moving along a lot more quickly. For example, if you tend to have an especially slow data connection, you might have gotten frustrated whenever the Market hung at the "Loading…" screen for what seemed like hours. Now, this wait time has been either eliminated or reduced to just a few seconds in most cases.

One minor change I've noticed is that video previews of apps and movies have been moved to the top of the screen, right under the app header. This way you can watch any video content that's been uploaded without having to scroll down – a minor improvement, yes, but helpful nonetheless.
